Pet Odor Concerns Start with an Honest Assessment
Pet-related cleaning needs vary by the source, depth, and age of contamination. Tell us which rooms are affected, how long you have noticed the odor, and whether you have tried previous treatments. Photos can help us understand the area; an on-site inspection helps determine the condition.
We will assess the affected carpet and explain what treatment may realistically achieve before work begins. In cases where contamination has reached the pad or subfloor, we will be direct about your options.
How We Treat Pet Odors
- UV inspection: We use black light to help map the extent of urine deposits, including areas not visible to the naked eye. UV inspection can indicate likely urine areas but may not identify every deposit.
- Assessment: We evaluate the severity and depth of contamination and explain what treatment can realistically achieve.
- Pre-treatment: Affected areas are treated with solutions designed to address odor-causing bacteria.
- Hot water extraction: We rinse and extract the treated area using our truck-mounted equipment.
- Dry strokes & air movers: During extraction we follow each wet pass with dry strokes to remove as much moisture as possible. After an area is cleaned, we set up air movers to circulate air across the treated carpet to support drying.
- Post-inspection: We review results with you and discuss any follow-up options if needed.
An Honest Approach to Pet Odor
We believe in setting realistic expectations. Not every pet odor situation can be fully resolved through carpet cleaning alone. In severe cases — where urine has saturated the pad and subfloor — carpet replacement or subfloor treatment may be the only way to fully eliminate the odor.
